2022 K1 Pinot Noir

Story: 5 clones of Pinot Noir are grown on the K1 vineyard, these are processed separately then stored in oak. As the season affects each clone differently, keeping them separte allows only the best barrels to be selected for this wine.

Vintage: 2022 Higher than average rainfall over winter followed by a warm and dry spring resulting in even budburst and a textbook start for the vintage. A cool but relatively dry summer gave us beautiful even ripening conditions. This slow ripening allows great flavour development and retention of natural acidity.     

Nose: The K1 Pinot Noir exhibits attractive aromas of red cherries, strawberry, red rose and vanilla.

Palate: On the palate you will find notes of juicy raspberry, strawberry and red cherry with  thyme and vanilla adding complexity.
