Pertaringa was established in 1980 by leading viticulturists Geoff Hardy and Ian Leask. Since then, the Pertaringa vineyards in the foothills behind McLaren Vale have continued to produce some of the region’s finest wines. In 2011, Geoff purchased the remaining share of the Pertaringa wine business from the Leask family and became the sole custodian of the brand.
The name Pertaringa means ‘belonging to the hills’ and originates from the local Kaurna indigenous language.Explore Pertaringa
