2024 GMH Family Selection White Blend

Story: Carefully selected by the family, this classic blend combines the generous fruit of Verdelho and Pinot Gris with the aromatic and exotic fruits of White Fronti. Composed of 59% Verdelho, 27% White Fronti, 10% Pinot Gris, and 4% Chardonnay.

Vintage: The 2024 Vintage at K1 was initiated by a very wet spring after a relatively dry July, August and September. The wet period included two large rainfalls during November and early December leading to spoilt flowering, very low berry numbers and an extremely low crop in most varieties. These low crops were blessed with cool dry conditions throughout the three months up to vintage giving fabulous flavour development very much like the 2002 season which makes me confident of wines that will age brilliantly.

Nose:  The 2024 Family Selection White Blend offers inviting aromas of citrus, peach, lychee, and floral notes.

Palate: On the palate, it is medium-bodied and textural, featuring flavors of stone fruits and tropical undertones.

Pairing: This versatile white blend pairs beautifully with Thai chicken green curry served with coconut jasmine rice. The wine's vibrant fruit flavors and medium body complement the spicy, aromatic curry and the creamy texture of the coconut rice, creating a harmonious and delightful dining experience.
